This weekend, a visited a good friend, after a long time without seeing her. We met at her house, because it was her new home, so i needed to go in for the first time. We were together at  the same school, but in different classes, hat's why we didn't became friends at that time. Only when we started the university, in the same faculty, by chance, we get to know each other well, and became the best friends. Her name is Valentina, and she's a very pretty red-haired woman. In a few time, we became very close to each other, and we find out that our mothers, were classmates too, when they were scholars. So, we told people all the time, that our friendship was meant to be. After a year, I changed my career, and I joined Anthropology. Since then, I stopped seeing her every day, and we could meet only once or twice a year. Nevertheless, we continued to care for each other, and every time that she had a problem, or myself, we got together in some place, and just talked for hours. We enjoy very much, talking about anything, because we understand each other very well. We also liked very much, going downtown, to some clubs, hanging out with friends in common, and after the party was finished, going to eat in any junk food place. Nowadays, we are happy to see each other after a while, and we take our time to update with our lifes.

I remember one special occasion when I spent new year's eve camping in a hill near Santiago. I was a child and went with my mother, her boyfriend at the time, and a bunch of friends that they had in common. We start the day, 31 december, by climbing the mountain very early in the morning. We carried a lot of things for the celebration, so our bags were very heavy and we rechaed the peak exhausted. Once we achieved the top of the mountain, we settle in a flat space, and put together the tents. After that, when it was already noon, we put all the things for the celebration in the floor, over a tablecloth. We had all the stuff that you can imagine for celebrating. Glasses, licor, champagne, food, even party things like wigs and masks. So we waited for New Year's arrival, sat at the top of a mountain, watching the entire city above us. We only had a clock to watch the hour. Suddenly it was midnight, and there were fireworks all over Santiago, at different points and distances. It was a very beautiful spectacle, and a novel idea to spent New Year's eve. I will always remember drinking champagne in cup of glass at the top of a mountain, watching the city covered by fire and colors. We celebrated, not until too late because we were very tired, and finally went to sleep in our tents. The next morning we put things together, and climbed down the hill, at midday. So that was an excelent New Year's eve that I spent with my family and friends, that I will never forget.

Today i'm going to talk about a place i would like to visit, since i was very young. When i was at school, in 5th grade, my teacher taught us about the country of Japan. She had a japanese friend, that came some classes to teach us to speak and write in japanese. I learned how to write my name in japanese, and did a little painting of it. Also we made a tree of wishes, that is making little birds of paper, that contain our wishes written in, and hanging them in the branches. In some ocasions, we watch movies of Hayao Miyazaki, a famous japan director of animé films. I loved his movies, and since then, i´ve been watching all of his creations. My favourite ones are Nausicaa and the valley of the wind, and My neighbour Totoro. The movies show very beautiful landscapes, and the characters are very amuzing. When i invetigated a little more about japanese culture, i found it was an incredibly interesting world, even if people say there it's a very sexist society. Some time after, i beggin to learn about Japan' s history, samurais, harakiri, and stuffs like that, things that have to do mostly with pride and honor. I also find that traditions (family values, courtesy, ect) in Japan are something very meaningfull for people. I wish very hard, to visit this land someday, climb the Fuji mountain, and travel all around the island, also knowing it's people and their traditions.
